CHARGES ARE BASED ON THE RAW WEIGHT OF ALL PRODUCT PROCESSED ie. PORK & CHEESE.
At the Village Butcher Shoppe, we pride ourselves in our ability to assist local hunters in converting their wild game into enjoyable sausage products. We treat each hunters catch brought in as “individual orders” and never mix or combine batches to reduce cost. What you bring in for processing is what you will get back in the form of the sausage ordered. That is our promise to you!!
Note: ALL Venison brought in for processing MUST BE Clean and Boned. If you need help cleaning up the meat, call us and we can refer you to someone that can work with you.
The price list to the right outlines those sausages we can produce and what the approximate cost per pound will be. Please remember that any cheese and/or pork added to the mix will be included in the total weight of the product for cost calculations (i.e. 15 pounds of venison with 3 pounds of cheese added and made into Thuringer Sausage will cost about $78. This includes a charge of $15 for 3 pounds of cheese added to the 15 pounds of Venison at for a total Thuringer weight of 18 pounds at $3.50/lb). See price list for a detailed explanation! Please also note that we need a minimum of 12.5 pounds of product to produce any given sausage selection. More is OK! Anything less and we will need to make up the difference with other additives.
